Gates
Security gates are a great way to monitor those coming in and going out of your property. They can work in a variety of ways.
Manned: If you have a manned security gate, then you will require all the people likely to come onto your property to have identification. This will allow the security detail at the gate to verify the person’s identity before letting them in. The security gate can then be electronically wired to the security kiosk and be released to open once the ID is accepted.
Unmanned: If you wish to have unmanned security gates then you will have to have the whole thing electronically set up. There are two options for this. The first is to have a code that is required on arrival. Se the code into the pad and the gate will unlock to admit you. The other alternative, and more high-tech, is to have ID cards that are swiped to verify identification along with a pin code that is specific to that card (otherwise a stolen card could be used by anyone).
Both forms are a great method for ensuring gate security, the choice will come down to the budget you are working within.
